Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 banana peppers, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion until it turns soft and golden.

  2. Add garlic and ginger paste and cook for a minute.

  3. Add banana peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder, and cook for a minute.

  5. Add chickpeas and water and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes.

  6. Add salt to taste and garnish with cilantro.
