Ingredients

  • 1 large celeriac, peeled and cubed
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the celeriac cubes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well.

  2. In a separate pot, cook the chopped apples in a little water until soft, about 10 minutes. Drain well.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked celeriac, cooked apples, horseradish sauce, and butter. Mash together until smooth and creamy.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Serve the mash hot, garnished with fresh chives.
