- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro
Instructions

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain the excess fat and transfer the beef to a slow cooker.

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, jalapeno pepper, red bell pepper, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir well to combine.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 6 hours, or until the flavors have melded together and the chili has thickened.
