How To Make Chicken Noodle Soup

Warm and comforting soup with tender chicken and hearty noodles in a flavorful broth.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 3 celery stalks, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 4 ounces of egg noodles

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, bring the chicken broth and water to a boil.

  2. Add in the chicken breasts and let them cook for 20 minutes or until cooked through.

  3. Remove the chicken from the broth and shred it into bite-sized pieces.

  4. Add the onion, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, dried parsley, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper into the pot of broth and bring to a simmer.

  5. Add in the shredded chicken and egg noodles and let them cook for 10-12 minutes until the noodles are tender.

  6. Remove the bay leaves and taste for seasoning.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
