How To Make Chicken Noodle Soup
Warm and comforting soup with tender chicken and hearty noodles in a flavorful broth.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 cups of chicken broth
- 2 cups of water
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
- 3 celery stalks, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon of dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 4 ounces of egg noodles
Instructions

In a large pot or Dutch oven, bring the chicken broth and water to a boil.

Add in the chicken breasts and let them cook for 20 minutes or until cooked through.

Remove the chicken from the broth and shred it into bite-sized pieces.

Add the onion, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, dried parsley, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper into the pot of broth and bring to a simmer.

Add in the shredded chicken and egg noodles and let them cook for 10-12 minutes until the noodles are tender.

Remove the bay leaves and taste for seasoning.
