  • 1 lb fresh crab meat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks of celery, diced
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and celery, and cook until softened.

  2. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir well to coat. Cook for 1 minute.

  3. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk. Add the potatoes and Old Bay seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

  4. Stir in the crab meat and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
