Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained and chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp finely chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, chopped dill pickles, capers, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and parsley to make tartare sauce.

  4. Serve the crispy shrimp with the tartare sauce on the side.
