How To Make Prawn Pasta

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of spaghetti
  • 1 pound of fresh prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) of diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. Add the prawns to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  4. Remove the prawns from the skillet and set aside.

  5. In the same skillet, add the diced tomatoes, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, until it thickens slightly.

  7. Add the cooked spaghetti and prawns back to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss everything together until well coated.

  8. Serve the prawn pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
