Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 slices of deli meat (turkey, ham, or salami)
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or provolone)
  • 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a panini press or a skillet over medium heat.

  2. Brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil.

  3. Build the sandwiches by layering deli meat, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers on half of the bread slices.

  4. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, oiled side facing up.

  6. Place the sandwiches in the preheated panini press or skillet.

  7. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-5 minutes per side.

  8. Remove from the heat and let cool for a minute before serving.
