How To Make Open-Faced Avocado Toast

This light and flavorful breakfast or brunch dish features creamy avocado and crunchy toast.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp of lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 4 cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread slices until crispy.

  2. In a bowl, mash avocados with garlic, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

  3. Spread the mashed avocado mixture onto the bread slices.

  4. Top with sliced cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves.
