How To Make Easy Quesadillas

Have a delightful snack with this easy quesadillas recipe, assembled with lots of cheese in a buttered tortilla, pan-toasted to golden and gooey perfection!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1tspbutter
  • 1flour tortilla
  • 2ozcheddar,or mozzarella, or Monterey Jack cheese, or a combination of all three

For Optional Fillings:

  • tomato,sliced
  • browned meat,or tofu
  • scallions,chopped
  • avocado,diced
  • sprouts
  • bell pepper,diced

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in the skillet on medium heat.

  2. Put the tortilla in the pan.

  3. Next, put the cheese and, if desired, add 1 to 2 fillings on ½ of the tortilla.

  4. Use the spatula to fold the other side of the tortilla over the fillings.

  5. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

  6. Flip the quesadilla over, and cook 2 to 3 minutes more.

  7. Let the cheese cool for 1 minute before taking a bite.

  8. If desired, put a little guacamole on top for extra flavor.
