How To Make Rigatoni al Segreto (Rigatoni with Secret Sauce)

Ingredients
- 1 lb rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions

Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Remove any excess fat.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Add the cooked rigatoni pasta to the skillet and toss until it is evenly coated with the sauce.

Serve the Rigatoni al Segreto hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
