How To Make Pasta with Pesto & Fresh Herbs

Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and garlic. Pulse until well blended.

Gradually add the olive oil while the food processor is running. Continue blending until the pesto is smooth and creamy.

Season the pesto with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, cherry tomatoes, chopped parsley, and chopped basil.

Add the pesto to the pasta and toss until well coated.

Serve the pasta with pesto and fresh herbs garnished with extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
