How To Make Pasta Sauce with Italian Sausage

Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage, removed from casing
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions

In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.

Pour in the crushed tomatoes and diced tomatoes. Stir in the dried basil, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

Simmer the sauce for 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Stir in the Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Serve the pasta sauce over your favorite pasta and enjoy!
