How To Make Italian Sausage & Chestnut Pasta

Ingredients
- 8 oz Italian sausage
- 1 cup cooked chestnuts
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz penne pasta
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.

Add cooked chestnuts and chicken broth to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.

Add cooked sausage and cooked pasta to the skillet. Stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
