This Lemon Garlic Cream Fettuccini is a filling pasta dish that is tossed with a creamy and flavorful sauce made of garlic, lemon, cream cheese, and spices!

Ingredients

  • 8ozfettuccini,uncooked

For Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce:

  • ¼cupbutter
  • 1small onion,chopped
  • 2clovesgarlic,minced
  • 1tsplemon peel,grated
  • ½cupheavy whipping cream
  • ¼tspsalt
  • tsppepper
  • 4ozcream cheese,cubed
  • 2tbsplemon juice
  • 2tspfresh parsley,minced
  • parmesan cheese,grated, optional

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccini according to the package directions, and drain.

Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce:

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter.

  2. Add the onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until tender.

  3. Add the garlic and lemon peel.

  4. Slowly stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper.

  5. Whisk in the cubed cream cheese and stir until melted.

  6. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly. Add in the lemon juice.

  7. Add the pasta, and parsley to the sauce. Toss to coat.

  8. Serve immediately and garnish with lemon peel, parsley, and parmesan cheese, if desired.
