Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 jar marinara sauce
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), and beaten egg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the browned meatballs to a baking dish and pour marinara sauce over them.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Serve the Italian turkey meatballs with additional marinara sauce and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
