How To Make Lemon-scented Fish & Chips

Ingredients
- 4 fish fillets
- 2 lemons
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 4 large potatoes
- Salt, to taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

Slice one lemon and set aside.

In a shallow dish, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

Dip each fish fillet in the flour mixture, coating both sides.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Fry the fish fillets until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

In the meantime, peel and cut the potatoes into thick-cut chips.

Toss the potato chips with salt and spread them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Serve the fish fillets with the lemon slices and accompany with the homemade chips.
