How To Make White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

There’s nothing better than a hot and fresh casserole right from the oven. For cooking recipes that are failsafe and delicious, look no further and follow these casserole recipes that are sure to garner you some new fans along the way.

Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound of cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups of shredded white cheese (such as mozzarella or Monterey Jack)
  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 cups of marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, shredded white cheese, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, basil, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  5. Place three lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. Spread half of the chicken and cheese mixture evenly over the noodles.

  6. Repeat the layers with half of the remaining marinara sauce, three more noodles, and the remaining chicken and cheese mixture.

  7. Top with the remaining three lasagna noodles and pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top.

  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional chopped fresh basil and parsley, if desired.
