Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish. Sprinkle half of the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper over the potatoes.

  4. Repeat with another layer of the remaining potatoes, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

  5. Pour the heavy cream evenly over the potato layers.

  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.

  7. Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

  8. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
