How To Make Gammon & Cauliflower Cheese Grills

Ingredients

  • 4 thick slices of gammon
  • 1 small cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 200g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 250ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Place the gammon slices on a grill pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.

  3. Meanwhile, steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 10 minutes.

  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

  5. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth and thickened.

  6. Stir in the grated cheese and mustard until melted and combined. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. Place the cooked cauliflower in a baking dish and pour the cheese sauce over the top.

  8. Place under the grill for 5-7 minutes until golden and bubbling.

  9. Serve the grilled gammon alongside the cauliflower cheese grills.
