How To Make Chicken Florentine Casserole

Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- Cooking spray
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute until golden.

Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until thickened.

Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and dried thyme. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

In a greased casserole dish, layer the cooked chicken, spinach, and sauce. Repeat the layers, ending with the sauce on top.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the casserole.

Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden on top.
