How To Make Braised Corned Beef Brisket Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 lbs corned beef brisket
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup Guinness beer
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 cabbage, chopped
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).

In a large Dutch oven or ovenproof pot, place the corned beef brisket with the fat side up.

Add in the sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Guinness beer, brown sugar, mustard seeds, black peppercorns, and bay leaves.

Cover the pot with a lid and place it in the preheated oven. Let it cook for 3 hours.

After 3 hours, add in the carrots, potatoes, and cabbage. Cover again and cook for an additional hour.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve the braised corned beef brisket with the vegetables and some of the cooking liquid.
