Veal Parmigiana Recipe

This oven roasted veal parmigiana dish is so good you’ll forget that it isn’t chicken and that it isn’t fried.


Create a delicious veal dish from veal cutlets with parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.

Ingredients

  • cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tsp dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 ½ lbs veal cutlets
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 tsp oil
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp italian seasoning
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tsp parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix breadcrumbs with ⅓ cup parmesan.

  2. Dip the veal in egg, then into the breadcrumbs and brown in hot oil.
  3. Place the browned pieces of veal in an 8 inch baking dish.
  4. Saute onion in skillet, and add salt, pepper, italian seasoning, and tomato sauce.
  5. Top veal with mozzarella and tomato mix.
  6. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of parmesan.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, or until bubbly.
