  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, dried basil, dried oregano, and garlic powder.

  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

  4. Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
