Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine plums, sugar, saffron threads, lemon juice, and water.

  2. Bring mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently until sugar is dissolved.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer jam for 45-60 minutes, or until it reaches desired thickness.

  4. Stir jam occasionally to prevent burning.

  5. Once jam has thickened, remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
