Ingredients

  • 1 kg plums, pitted and chopped
  • 500 g sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add the plums, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the plums have softened and the mixture thickens, about 60 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.

  4. Using an immersion blender or a food processor, blend the plum mixture until smooth.

  5. Return the pot to low heat and continue cooking for another 30 minutes, stirring frequently.

  6. Remove from heat and let cool completely before transferring to sterilized jars.

  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
