Ingredients

  • 1 cup of white rice
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of ground mace
  • 1/4 tsp of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized pot, combine rice, milk, cream, and sugar.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently, until the rice is cooked and the mixture has thickened.

  4. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, ground mace, and salt.

  5. Transfer the rice pudding to a serving dish and let it cool for 10-15 minutes.

  6. Serve the rice pudding warm, at room temperature, or chilled, garnished with fruit or nuts, if desired.
