Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • Chopped coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat oil and fry onions till golden brown.

  2. Add bay leaves and spices and fry for a minute.

  3. Add chicken and fry till browned.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, and water and let it simmer till the chicken is cooked through.

  5. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with rice or naan.
