How To Make Spiced Okra Curry

Ingredients
- 500g okra, washed and trimmed
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnishing
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until golden brown.

Add the tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.

Stir in the turmeric powder, chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for 2 minutes.

Add the okra and mix well to coat them with the spices.

Cover the pan and cook on low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the okra is cooked through and tender.

Sprinkle salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.

Serve hot with steamed rice or naan bread.
