How To Make Mushroom & Tarragon Pâté

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 8 oz mushrooms, trimmed and sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp fresh tarragon leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the shallot and cook until softened.

  2. Add the mushrooms, garlic, thyme, and tarragon to the skillet. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and any liquid has evaporated.

  3. Remove the skillet from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.

  4. Transfer the mushroom mixture to a food processor. Add the butter and cream cheese. Blend until smooth and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Transfer the pâté to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
