Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • pita bread or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, harissa paste, cumin, salt, and pepper.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

  3. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary, adding more harissa paste for extra heat if desired.

  4. Transfer the hummus to a bowl and drizzle with a little olive oil.

  5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

  6. Serve with pita bread or vegetable sticks.
