  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese frosting
  • Halloween-themed decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, milk, and eggs. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
