How To Make Apple Pretzels

Ingredients
- 2 Granny Smith apples, cut into wedges
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp active dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until yeast activates.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add in the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a long rope.

Take an apple wedge and wrap one of the dough ropes around it, twisting to secure. Repeat with the remaining apples and dough ropes.

Place the apple pretzels onto a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
