  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 batch of buttercream frosting
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Decorative cupcake liners
  • Skewers or floral wire
  • Foam or Styrofoam base
  • Ribbon or tissue paper for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a standard muffin tin with decorative cupcake liners.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry mixture. Mix until just combined.

  6. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

  8. Prepare the buttercream frosting according to the recipe or use store-bought frosting. If desired, divide the frosting into separate bowls and add food coloring to create different shades.

  9. Once the cupcakes are cooled, frost them with the buttercream using a piping bag or a knife.

  10. Trim the skewers or floral wire to different lengths, depending on the desired height of the bouquet.

  11. Push the skewers or floral wire through the center of each frosted cupcake, leaving enough length to secure them to the foam or Styrofoam base.

  12. Arrange the cupcakes on the foam or Styrofoam base to create a beautiful bouquet shape.

  13. Decorate the base with ribbon or tissue paper for a festive finish.

  14. Serve and enjoy!
