Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until combined.

  4. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.

  5. Roll dough into balls (about 2 tbsp each) and space them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.

  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden.

  7. In a small saucepan, heat the maple syrup over medium heat until it begins to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  8. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar until smooth.

  9. Once the cookies have cooled, drizzle the maple glaze over the top.
