How To Make Lighter lamb burgers with smoky oven chips
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- 2 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
-
In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, oregano, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
-
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
-
Place the lamb patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
In a separate bowl, toss the potato fries with olive oil, smoked paprika, and salt until well coated. Spread them out on another baking sheet.
-
Place both baking sheets in the preheated oven. Bake the lamb burgers for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly browned. Bake the fries for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
-
Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding your desired toppings. Serve with the smoky oven chips on the side.
