Ingredients

  • 4 cups of stale bread, cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (such as oregano, thyme, or basil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, dried herbs, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

  3. Spread the coated bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the croutons are golden brown and crispy.

  5. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before using or storing.
