How To Make Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars
A gooey chocolate filling paired with crunchy pecans, all on top of a buttery shortbread crust.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, mix together the flour, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking dish.

Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven.

While the crust bakes, beat the egg in a mixing bowl.

Stir in the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.

Pour the mixture over the baked crust.

Bake the bars for 25-30 minutes or until the filling is set.

Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
