How To Make Chocolate, Cardamom & Hazelnut Torte
Indulge in the rich flavors of chocolate, the warmth of cardamom, and the crunch of hazelnuts in this decadent torte.

Ingredients
- 200g dark chocolate, chopped
- 150g unsalted butter
- 150g hazelnuts, toasted and finely ground
- 4 eggs, separated
- 150g sugar
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.

In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate and butter together over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy. Gradually add the cooled chocolate mixture, ground hazelnuts, cardamom, and salt, stirring until well combined.

In another clean bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture until no white streaks remain.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, carefully remove from the pan and transfer to a serving platter.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Slice and enjoy!
