How To Make Beer-battered Fish Tacos

Ingredients
- 1 lb white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 cup cold beer
- vegetable oil for frying
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce
Instructions

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until smooth.

Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Dip each fish fillet into the batter, then carefully place it in the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

In a small bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce to make the creamy sauce.

Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.

To assemble the tacos, spread a spoonful of the creamy sauce on each tortilla. Top with a piece of fish, shredded cabbage, cilantro, red onion, and diced tomatoes.
