How To Make Anise Pizzelle Recipe
Light and crispy anise-flavored Italian cookies

- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp anise extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

Preheat a pizzelle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the eggs, anise extract, and melted butter; stir until smooth.

Drop about a tablespoon of batter onto the center of each pizzelle iron pattern.

Close the iron and bake for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the pizzelles are golden brown.
