  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool completely.

  5. Once cool, strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp or seeds.

  6. Transfer the syrup to a glass bottle or jar and store in the refrigerator.
