Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup sponge cake, cubed
  • 2 cups elderflower custard
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. In serving glasses or a trifle dish, layer the sliced strawberries at the bottom.

  2. Add a layer of cubed sponge cake on top of the strawberries.

  3. Pour a generous amount of elderflower custard over the cake layer.

  4. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of custard.

  5. Top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

  6. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
