Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Whipped cream, for serving
- Chocolate shavings, for garnish
Instructions
-
In a saucepan, combine the brewed coffee and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.
-
Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
-
Pour the coffee mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe dish.
-
Place the dish in the freezer and let it freeze for about 2 hours.
-
After 2 hours, use a fork to scrape and stir the partially frozen coffee mixture, breaking up any large ice crystals.
-
Return the dish to the freezer and repeat the scraping and stirring process every 30 minutes for the next 4 hours or until the mixture is completely frozen and has a granular texture.
-
To serve, scoop the coffee granita into serving glasses or bowls. Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
-
Enjoy the refreshing and icy coffee granita!
