Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, onion, garlic, thyme, sage, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. Press the mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish, making sure it is even and pressed tightly.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

  5. Remove the pie from the oven and sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the top.

  6. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and pour over the cheese.

  7. Return the pie to the oven and bake for another 30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the eggs are set.

  8. Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
