Instructions

  3. Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

  4. Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.

  5. Stir in vanilla extract and nutmeg.

  6. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and pour the custard mixture into the crust.

  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the custard is set and the crust is golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool before serving.
