Ingredients

  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, pomegranate seeds, sugar, water, and orange zest.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.

  3. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  4. Transfer the sauce to a blender or use an immersion blender to blend until smooth.

  5. Strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any remaining seeds.
