  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Optional toppings: chocolate chips, nuts, fruit

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into coins.

  2. Place the sliced bananas in a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until solid.

  3. Once the bananas are frozen, transfer them to a blender or food processor.

  4. Add the vanilla extract and milk to the blender.

  5. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

  6. If desired, add any optional toppings and blend briefly to incorporate.

  7. Serve immediately as soft-serve ice cream or transfer to a lidded container and freeze for an additional 1-2 hours for a firmer texture.
