  • 4 apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or almonds)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Core each apple using an apple corer or a sharp knife, leaving the bottom intact.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter. Mix well.

  4. Spoon the oatmeal filling into each apple, packing it tightly.

  5. Place the filled apples in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the filling is golden brown.

  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
