How To Make Apple Danish

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 2 medium-sized apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and cut it into 4 equal squares.

  3. In a bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  4. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture onto the center of each puff pastry square.

  5. Fold the corners of each square towards the center, overlapping slightly.

  6. Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg.

  7. Place the pastries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown.

  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
